Christmas Around the World

Please share with us your experiences of Christmas around the world. I am hoping to collect these experiences into an area of my website where children can find out about different Christmas customs. It would be useful to include details of weather, food, gift giving and other family customs. Thank you :-)

Fab site to use on the IWB with Early Years

This site (http://neave.com/) has a range of great activities that would work really well on an Interactive Whiteboard for motor skills, and pure enjoyment!!

Bouncy Balls and Imagination are great fun on the IWB. Don't forget the F11 key for full screen.
Thanks Tim Rylands for sharing this one through your blog :-)

Jigsaw Planet

Jigsaw Planet is a free site that lets you create your own jigsaws or use the pre-created ones within the site. Great for IWBs! No sign-up require to use the jigsaws. Don't forget to use the F11 button to toggle between full screen and Browser. www.jigsawplanet.com

It is always advisable to check sites before you use them with children.

Topic Box provides links to a wealth of useful sites to use in the classroom. It has its own Foundation Stage area for as well as subject links.
Remember that you mnust check a site over yourself to ensure suitability for your children.

Build your Wild Self!

This is a grea, simple, fun activity in which you can change the options on your 'wild self' to become and imaginary creature.

Once you have created your Wild Self a classroom follow up activity would be to think of some words and sentences to describe the character.
